Ending the Hiatus
Took longer than expected, but it finally became possible to return
I hope everyone reading this remembers who I am. For those of you who forgot, I’m a writer, storyteller, communications maven, editor, and basically whatever else strikes my fancy or looks like it’s necessary for me to learn. I’ve been away from this substack for several reasons. So, I thought I’d start my return by explaining my prolonged absence, along with a recap of what this Substack is even about.
Where have you been?
Mainly, I’ve been working on my other Substack. Yeah, way back when, I started two. One is reader facing and just a bit more slice of life. Five Muses Creative Musings was always intended to be more technical.
When I started writing here, I didn’t realize how much time and thought would need to go into writing useful content. Once I realized I couldn’t maintain the pace I wanted, I decided to step away to figure out how to deliver good content without AI, while also sticking to my chosen pace.
This I did. I now have several months’ worth of content drafted, but I will also take some lessons learnt from writing on the Misha Gerrick Substack to make things more feasible for me. Creating the content bank was the biggest cause for delay, which was worsened by several rounds of chaos on my end.
Hopefully things are now settled enough and, if all goes to plan, the content bank will help me get through any rough patches for at least a year.
What Can We Expect?
Five Muses Creative Musings has two main streams for content. The first is updates on what I’m doing for my business, Five Muses Creative. Any updates and offers/discounts you might find interesting will pop up here.
The second stream, which will probably be the main one, is about thoughts and advice on being creative, communications, writing, and any other lessons I’ve learnt over the years.
For now, I’m expecting to post here once a week.
What’s Next?
I went quiet in the middle of introducing everyone to Five Muses Creative and its values. In the interest of getting back into the rhythm, I’ll be starting us off on a short series featuring each of Five Muses Creative’s values and why they matter.
Once you know these, I think you’ll have a deeper understanding of who I am as a creator and contractor, and how I could potentially add value to someone’s projects.
I’m looking forward to being back!
Thanks for reading! How have you been? Do share what you’re working on at the moment!

Glad you found a way back! And I do remember you 🙂
